Artists: your work in Jester Master
The game’s cards show freely licensed photos and, when there is permission, fan art credited to whoever made it. If you draw and would like one of your pieces on a card, here are the terms, with no small print.
What we ask
- That the work is yoursYou made it. A studio’s official art or someone else’s work doesn’t qualify.
- That it fits the gameA recognisable character, suitable for ages 13 and up, that reads well on a small card.
- Your permission, in writingBy ticking the box in the form you let us show it with your credit. The work stays yours: the permission isn’t exclusive and you can withdraw it whenever you like.
What you get in return
- Your credit, with a linkOn the card every time it comes up, and on the game’s credits page.
- An in-game cosmeticA code for a cosmetic item, as a thank-you.
- An announcementWhen your work goes in, the game says so in “What’s new”.
- Take it down any timeWrite to us and we remove it within 5 business days, no questions asked.
It’s unpaid, and we say so
We don’t pay for work that already exists. What we offer is the list above: credit, a cosmetic, the announcement and removal whenever you like. If you’d rather not share it on those terms, that’s fine: don’t send it.
Commissioned work
Made-to-order work — Arlek’s redesign, the logo, seasonal costumes — is paid, with a written agreement. There is no budget for commissions yet; when there is, it will be announced here. If you’d like to be considered, leave your portfolio in the form and choose “I’m interested in commissions”.
What we don’t do
- Ask for made-to-order work for free, or run contests where only the winner gets paid.
- Use a piece because “it’s on the internet”: without its maker’s permission, it doesn’t go in.
- Promise a future payment with no date.
Offer a piece
Nothing you send goes into the game by itself. A person reviews it and we write to the contact you leave to confirm the work is yours.
Questions
Do I still own my work?
Yes. You only give us permission to show it. You can keep posting it, selling it or licensing it to anyone you like.
Can you modify it?
Only crop it to fit the card. We don’t edit it or use it in advertising without asking you first.
What happens if I take it down?
It stops appearing in the game within 5 business days. Images of games that players have already shared are out of our reach.
Where does my credit show?
Over the card’s picture every time it comes up, and on the credits page, with your link.
